M.K.Haji Orphanage Hospital, Tirurangadi, Malappuram

M.K Haji Orphanage Hospital a 200 bedded Multispeciality hospital is providing quality health care services to the marginalized section of people in this rural area, especially the orphans, poor and downtrodden, for the last 16 years. The rates and charges in this hospital is very moderate and affordable. Treatments to the orphans and families below poverty level (BPL) are 100% free of cost, and for other eligible IP patients concessional rates are also given.


The hospital is equipped with state of the art modern medical equipments and facilities, such as well equipped computerized Laboratory (24 hours), Computerised Pharmacy (24 hours), Accident Trauma Unit, Casualty (24 hours), ICCU, ICU,NICU,PICU, X-Ray, ECG, Audiogram and Tympanometry, Scanning, Foetal Monitor, Colour Doppler, TMT, Endoscopy, Physiotherapy, Modern Theatre complex with C-Arm facility, Modern Labour room, 24 hours Ambulance Services etc..


Presently more than 25 Doctors of different specialties and 150 Nursing and Paramedical staffs are working in this hospital.

Our Doctors & Nursing Staffs and Nursing Students are actively participating in Community Health care Programmes of the Govt., which includes –Immunisation programme, RNTCP approved private centre, conducting Health Exhibition and awareness programmes etc.. We are designated as ‘Baby Friendly Hospital’ and Echo friendly hospital” by the authorities.


A BRIEF HISTORY


As a shade & shelter for the ailing multitudes in and around Tirurangadi Taluk, this charitable hospital was started in 1996, by the Tirurangadi Muslim Orphanage committee (Regd.), the same Committee who started Tirurangadi Yatheem Khana in 1943, to provide shade and Shelter to hundreds of Orphans, as a result of the outbreak of Cholera in Malabar area during 1943. MKH Orphanage Hospital is the manifestation and fulfillment of the foresight of the great visionary Janab M.K.Haji Sahib, the founder Secretary of Tirurangadi Muslim Orphanage Committee. This Charitable Society is also running various Educational and Technical Institutions – viz: Oriental Higher Secondary School (1955), Orphanage U.P.School (1960), SSMO Teachers Training Institutes (1961), KMMM Orphanage Arabic College (1971), PSMO College (1968), Noorul Islam Madrasa (1939), IGNOU Study Centre (1992), Orphanage IT Centre (2003), MG University Off Campus (2005), MKH School of Nursing (2005), Darussalam Masjid (1970)etc. The veteran social and community leaders of the time, Late.B.Pocker Sahib, K.M.Seethi Sahib, K.M.Moulavi Sahib and others have also actively participated in establishing the above institutions.After the demise of our founder secretary Late M.K.Haji Sahib in 1983 Mr.C.H.Kunhahamed Haji Sahib served as secretary of all the institutions for a long tenure of 27 years(1983-2011).
